Naija Shops Terms and Conditions

1.      Introduction

Welcome to Naija Shops, a multi-vendor e-commerce platform that provides an online marketplace for vendors and customers. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Naija Shops mobile application and website (“Platform”). By registering as a vendor or using this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2.      Vendor Registration

• To become a vendor on Naija Shops, you must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.
• Naija Shops reserves the right to approve or reject any vendor application at its discretion.

3.      Vendor Obligations

By operating a storefront on Naija Shops, you agree to:

• Maintain a Minimum Rating: You must maintain a store rating of 4.0 stars or better at all times. Failure to meet this standard may result in penalties, including suspension or termination from the platform.
• Product Delivery Standards: Vendors must deliver products accurately and on time according to the delivery policy stated in their store.
• You must maintain a 95% product delivery accuracy. Non-compliance will lead to penalties as outlined below:
  • Two Complaints: If a vendor receives 2 complaints regarding incorrect product delivery or failure to deliver, the vendor will be suspended for 2 months.
  • Four Complaints: If a vendor receives 4 complaints about inaccurate or undelivered products, the vendor will be permanently banned from Naija Shops.

4.      Commission and Fees

Naija Shops charges a 9% commission on each transaction made between vendors and customers.

The commission will automatically be deducted from the total amount paid by customers.

• Naija Shops reserves the right to change the commission rate with prior notice to vendors.
• Vendors may request early withdrawals of their earnings at any time, subject to a 2% early withdrawal fee per request.

5.      Payment and Payout Schedule

• All payments from customers will be processed through the Naija Shops Platform.
• Payouts to vendors will be made every Monday night for the transactions of the prior week, excluding Naija Shops’ commission.
• Vendors can request early withdrawals of funds, with a 2% withdrawal fee applied to each early withdrawal request.

6.      Prohibited Items

Vendors are strictly prohibited from listing, selling, or promoting the following items on Naija Shops:

·       Illegal drugs or Weapons: Naija Shops has zero tolerance for any illegal trade activities, and any violation of this policy will result in the immediate suspension or permanent ban of the vendor from the platform.

7.      Legal Compliance and Platform Misuse

·       Vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their respective jurisdictions. Naija Shops reserves the right to remove any vendor found in violation of the law.

·       Naija Shops also reserves the right to suspend or terminate any vendor who misuses the platform, including but not limited to the sale of illegal goods or activities detrimental to the platform’s reputation and integrity.

8.      Termination and Suspension

·       Naija Shops reserves the right to suspend or terminate a vendor’s account at any time, without notice, for violations of these Terms or any applicable laws.

·       In cases of illegal activities, vendors may be permanently banned from the platform, and legal action may be pursued.

9.      Changes to Terms and Conditions

Naija Shops may modify these Terms at any time. Vendors will be notified of significant changes via email or through the vendor dashboard. Continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Naija Shops is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to issues related to transactions, delivery, and vendor disputes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in which Naija Shops operates.

By using Naija Shops, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Failure to adhere to these Terms may result in legal actions and penalties, including suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
